What Are We Looking For?
Our highly respected client in the Smyrna area of Atlanta is seeking a PMO Project Data Analyst that will work with the PMO Manager to run the business of the PMO. The role includes oversight of PMO processes including the project intake process, status reporting and compliance with project delivery methodology. The PMO Project Data Analyst is responsible for data collection, analysis and reporting of project information within the IT Shared Services PMO as well as administration and management of the Project & Portfolio Management system (PPM), Daptiv. Training on the PPM platform will be provided.
How Will You Make An Impact?
  • Manage the collections and capture of data from PMO project status reports.
  • Analyze status reports for discrepancies and follow up with project managers to address questions.
  • Collect project issues and risks that should be escalated to the PMO Leadership Team and PMO Steering Committee.
  • Consolidate project budget across the IT Shared Services portfolio and produce budget summary reports.
  • Collect and report on PMO portfolio metrics.
  • Track status of the project intake process. Ensure customer requests are being completed in a timely fashion. Track idea submission and review ideas in the project backlog.
  • Identify Ideas to be included for review in the PMO Leadership Team meeting.
  • Develop Agenda for PMO Leadership Team and invite stakeholders as needed
  • Develop PMO Leadership Team reports bi-weekly
  • Develop PMO Steering Committee reports monthly
  • Coordinate project phase reviews as identified in the PMO Delivery Methodology
  • Maintain PMO template repository
  • Manage the PMO IT Shared Services group email inbox
  • Manage day-to-day administrative tasks within the PPM platform including user maintenance, configuration changes and custom reports
  • Identify opportunities to streamline PMO processes, tools and templates
Qualifications to be Successful
  • Proven work experience as a project coordinator, data/BI analyst or similar role
  • Experience with BI, Analytics and reporting platforms, Cognos specifically a plus
  • Experience with PPM Platforms such as Daptiv, Clarity, Planview, etc a plus
  • Understanding of project management methodology
  • An ability to prepare reports, agenda, minutes and other documentation as needed
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills
  • Experience and Advanced level skills writing SQL data queries
  • Experience analyzing data and summarizing in reporting for project participants at all levels
  • Able to work effectively in a complex, diverse, and changing environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required
